In July 2012 Freehill partner Eric Lenck taught at the World Maritime University in Malmo, Sweden, as co-lecturer of a course entitled “Maritime and Commercial Law.” Eric’s return to Sweden to teach maritime law is particularly fitting, as his father was a Swedish sea captain who settled in the U.S.
The World Maritime University was founded by the International Maritime Organization in 1983. Its mission is to serve the global maritime community as the IMO’s apex for high-level maritime education and research.
